Resources and quality of raw materials:

Before 1979, veterinary pharmaceuticals had a commercial entity. Most of the consumed medicines were imported. Only a few percentages of needed drugs produced domestically, and they were relatively poor in quality. In spite of remarkable difficulties, Iranian industry in veterinary pharmacy has achieved lots of progress, and now the high percentage of veterinary medicines are domestically produced by Iranian pharmaceutical factories.

Science and technology in our national pharmacy is not less than the major medicine exporting countries, but the only thing which can bring about differences is in the quality and effectiveness of some raw materials. So the higher the quality of raw materials, the better production of medicines. If poor and improper raw materials are used, consequently the eventual outcome will have some kind of lack in quality. Since its inception, Kimia Faam has always utilized the best quality materials from some European and North American companies like KRKA and JANSSEN. Of course our best witness is our consumers’ satisfaction and accordingly our market share which is expanding day by day.

Pharmacopeia tests constitute a minimum ideal, and most quality control LABS in pharmacy factories, instead of confirming the optimum, are contented with the minimum. But, in order to attain the outmost durability and to increase the pace of results, a right amount of effective. Substances are used in Kimia Faam’s products. Meanwhile, in Iran the monitorial entities of medicine, define “Quality” in a acceptable range. So two identical products from two distinct producers might either be situated at the lowest or highest range. Our policies always have focused on the highest standard range, and because of that many clinicians prefer to prescribe Kimia Faam’s products.

In addition to the role of above comments for producing medicine, excipients also play a significant role in quality; absorption time, and property of medicine. One company may wish to decrease production cost, and obviously utilizes poor excipients, but another company pays a great attention in order to satisfy consumers and automatically uses high quality one. This had been admitted as Kimia Faam’s consistent procedure.
